Maysons Award at school

My monkey can read!! He won't do it for me, but he'll do it for just about anyone else. He got an award from the Principal at his school last week. It's called the Eagle Scholar. He was so proud! So were Ryan and I! It says, "You know all of the sounds of all the alphabet lettera and you're very good at sounding words that are not on the word wall."

We are very proud of you Mayson, good job on being super smart!!

More Wrestling

Mayson has been hard at work...with wrestling that is. Last week, he had 2 matches. The first one was in Coalville. He got 2nd place there. Here he is with his buddy, Korter, and lil bro.

The next night, he wrestled in Randolph. He was awsome! He was doing this hilarious sprawl, we nicknamed it the spiderman sprawl. He ended up with 1st place that night. He has been so into wrestling this year, it surprises me, last yr. he wasn't all that into it.
This is Mayson in Randolph with his first place medal. This is one of his best buddies Braxton who also got first that night. They were pretty hot stuff!

I was totally unprepared for this day!!

So, I never in a million years expected this day to come...so soon!

Last week, I, was tending some kids, one of them, Austin, had preschool on Thursday, and I had told his mom that I would take him and pick him up. I pull into the parking lot of the preschool and Jackson, unbuckles his seatbelt and says..."Thanks mom, BYE" I said oh no no no this is Austins preschool and you aren't big enough for preschool. He then informs me that he is big and goes in the potty. He went in, hung up his coat with Austin and walked into the classroom with him. The teachers there just looked at me, I said, this little man wants to go to preschool. They said, then let him stay. He had absolutely no problem being left at school! It broke my heart, I wasn't prepared for that. He is going back on Tuesday and I get to fill out paperwork. BOO HOO!!

Here he is with his bunny he colored.

This is my baby with his friend, Austin.

Storytime

This is what we do on Wednesdays. Storytime @ the library. Heather is the perfect person to do storytime, she is just a big kid, she's awsome! I have been tending kids this week for my buddy, Julie, this is Jackson and Austin listening to a story at the library.
Jackson has had an absolute ball having a friend over several days in a row. Today is so nice, we might venture over to the park when baby, Zack, wakes up from his nap. Hopefully the wind doesn't start blowing.

Evanston Wrestling Meet

We all know that Mayson is huge, but I never would have guessed that his has 10 pounds on his buddy, Braxton Lind, but he does! Here they are showing off their weights to us and getting all warmed up for the match.

Mayson ended up getting 3rd place. We are so proud of him! He wrestled very well and was such a good sport! He is not a sore loser, he just kinda wants to know what to do better next time. This is Mayson with his friend, Sage Synan. Sage is about 3 yrs. older.

One funny thing about the day was...He came and asked if he could go buy a pickle from the consession stand, I told him yes, gave him 2 quarters and he was on his way, well, while he was waiting in line for his pickle, they called his age group to the staging area. Ryan walked up and got him out of the line to go get paired up for his next match. Mayson was not thrilled he had to wrestle without having a pickle. We just told him he could go back up after his match and get it. He wrestled then went and got his pickle. Well a while later, he wants another pickle, so I thought, well at least he doesn't want candy. I gave him 2 more quarters and off he went to buy his pickle. Here he comes walking down the stairs with a pickle and low and behold, they call him to the staging area again. His face was priceless. It was a you have got to be kidding me look. So, we find a babysitter for the blessed pickle while he wrestles. He got done wrestling and went straight back for his pickle. I guess next time I will just take a jar of pickles with me!
Jackson also had a fun day at the meet. He wrestled about as much as Mayson did. He wrestled Grandpa Erickson. Him and his Grandpa are such pests, 2 peas in a pod, they could not leave each other alone!
All in all, it was a great day. We were so happy that Ryan found someone to relieve him from work a day early so he could be here to watch our Mayson, the funny thing is...I swear the minute he was born, they layed him on my belly, he peed on me, then I called him my sweet little PICKLE!!! No joke!!

Get something AWSOME from me

The first THREE people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations
:1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)
4- You have no clue what it's going to be.It may be a story. It may be a joke book, autographed picture of myself, handmade bag, or a little invention of my own! I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows?
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. Believe me... it may blow your mind! The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must re post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 3 people who do the same on your blog. The first 3 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did, win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it! Sounds like fun, right? So, let's play!

Our Busy Weekend

This weekend, we actually got out of the house. On friday night, we went up to grandma and grandpa Ericksons. Tracy and Peyton were there also. They big kids played hearts until midnight...super fun. Ryans dad got so silly, we could all tell when he got his 2nd wind. Mayson, Jackson and Peyton set up a fort (a 2 man tent) in the living room and watched movies. We all ended up spending the night.
We all got up early sat. to go to Randolph to watch Tyus play b-ball at 8:30, from there we went to Laketown to watch Bailey play b-ball. They both did so great. From there we went back to clean up at grandmas. Everyone except Jackson and myself went to North Summit to watch another ball game. We went home and had a nap...so nice! It was a fun weekend, definitely a busy one. Thanks to Cleve and Annie and Tracys' families for letting us tag along.

Grandpa Erickson had to get in for a photo, he had no choice!

This is my latest project...I am super excited about it! Ryan helped me with this one. We had to silicone some of the glass in and cover up the work. He also hung it perfectly where I wanted it...such a good boy! He has the hardest time putting holes in the wall, this time he didn't say a word. He also doesn't quite get why a super old window is so cool, oh well. I don't understand why guns are so cool either...just different interests!
